Golf has been played on Chingford Golf Course since the 1880s.
Rising almost 100 feet from Chingford Plain, in and out of Epping Forest, the course at 6,281 yards while not the longest, represents a challenge to any golfer.
Due to a local Epping Forest bye-law restricting bunkers from view - and to retain the forest's natural appearance - there are only a handful of bunkers, located in the midst of the forest.
Sidehill, uphill and downhill lies will test your skills as will the greens that in summer are hard and fast and which, after more than a century of use, have acquired many subtle variations.
